Anything you skip outside
comes back in the spring.

What is included

Outside work, in order.

1

Wash

Dirt, chalking and loose growth come off first. Paint will not hold on any of them.

2

Scrape and sand

Failing paint is taken back to a sound edge rather than coated over.

3

Prime bare areas

Anything back to bare substrate gets primed before colour goes near it.

4

Coat and check

Finish coats on siding, trim, soffits and doors, then a walk around together.

Surfaces

What we paint outside.

Siding and trim

Wood, stucco and fibre cement, with the trim cut in by hand.

Soffits and fascia

The parts that take the weather first and get skipped most often.

Doors and porches

Front doors, frames, railings and porch decking.

Questions

About exterior work.

Exterior coatings need suitable temperature and dry surfaces, so the season runs from spring through autumn in the GTA. Call and we will tell you what is realistic for your dates.

No. Failing paint gets scraped back to a sound edge and primed. Coating over it just moves the problem to next year.
